Winter Slam Pickleball Tournament

This is a fun-filled, single-day, double elimination tournament for all level of players! Two players allowed per team, and you will sign up and compete with that team! Divisions will be beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Please sign up honestly for the one you are able to compete in! Champions will be crowned with bragging rights and medals! Mother Son Superhero Dance

Moms or a special someone, it’s your turn to grab your son and party the night away at the Mother Son Superhero Dance. Make lifetime memories while you enjoy, music, dancing, games, and goodies on this special night. Light refreshments are provided. Each young gentleman will receive a goodie bag. Come dressed as your favorite Superhero and dance the night away. Each couple will have the opportunity to have their picture taken to remember this special evening (TK). Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance

Dads or a special someone, mark your calendars for February 7th and get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime as you dance the night away with your daughter(s)! This magical night will include a corsage, goodie bag, light refreshments, and of course, lots of dancing! There will be an opportunity for each couple to have their photo taken (KI). Come watch the Rockford IceHogs practice LIVE at the Riverside Ice Arena! The event is open to the public and free to attend. Fans are invited to swing by to catch an up-close glimpse of all their favorite IceHogs players. Following the practice, the team will be sticking around for a meet & greet, and to sign autographs.

NOTICE ON PUBLIC HEARING FOR BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP PARK DISTRICT – FISCAL YEAR 2026 BUDGET & ORDINANCE

THE BELVIDERE TOWNSHIP PARK DISTRICT will hold a public hearing on the 10^th day of November 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The hearing will be held at the Historic Baltic Mill, 920 West Lincoln, Belvidere, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the tentative operating budget and Ordinance No. 25-12-09A Annual Budget and Appropriation Ordinance for FY 2026. Action on the budget and ordinance will be taken on December 9, 2025, at the general board meeting. A copy of the operating budget and Ordinance No. 25-12-09A are available for viewing, beginning October 29, 2025, at the Administrative Office, located at 1006 West Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere, during regular business hours.

Notice of Public Hearing Concerning the Intent of the Board of Park Commissioners of the Belvidere Township Park District, Boone County, Illinois to Sell $1,340,000 General Obligation Limited Tax Park Bonds

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Belvidere Township Park District, Boone County, Illinois (the “District”), will hold a public hearing on the 28th day of October, 2025, at 5:00 o’clock P.M. The hearing will be held at the Baltic Mill Annex in Belvidere Park, 920 West Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell bonds of the District in the amount of $1,340,000 for the payment of land condemned or purchased for parks, for the building, maintaining, improving and protecting of the same and the existing land and facilities of the District, for the payment of outstanding obligations of the District and for the payment of the expenses incident thereto.

Halloween Festival  

Come to Rivers Edge Recreation Center with your family dressed as your favorite character, player, princess, villain—or anything you’d like—and join us for a spooktacular night at our Halloween Festival! Enjoy festive Halloween music, games from the Park and Play Mobile, and fun crafts you can make with friends and family. Don’t miss this frightfully fun night!

A truly fun-filled “day in the park” for the entire family, where kite-flyers of all types come together to bring a colorful palette of shapes and sizes dancing in the sky above Prairie Fields. this event features kite flying demos, inflatables, games, crafts, face painting, Park & Play Mobile, and more! This event is FREE to attend. Tickets prices for activities are shown below.

Date: Saturday, September 7 from 11 AM-3 PM

Wristbands: $20 for unlimited activities (excludes face painting)
Tickets: $1 each (two to four tickets required for each activity) or $20 for 22 tickets

Come say howdy at our country-themed splash pad & inflatable party. There will be music, games, and an inflatable obstacle course from The Play House (https://www.facebook.com/playhouseinflatables).
