Facility Information
The Riverside Ice Arena opened in 2015 and is home to our Ice Rink and AJ Johnson Warming House. We offer public skate, open hockey, several Ice Hockey Tournaments each season, and hockey and ice skating lessons for all ages. Ozzie’s Skate Shop located inside of the Warming House rents skates and skate aids. The Riverside Ice Arena is located within Doty Park and sits along the Kishwaukee River in Downtown Belvidere.

Public Skate Times: Monday-Thursday: 4-6pm • Friday: 4-9 pm • Saturday and Sunday: Noon-7 pm
Figure Skate Times: Sunday: 10-11:45am

Open Shoot Times: YOUTH 12yrs and under Tuesday/Thursday: 6-7pm* • ADULT 13+: Monday/Wednesday: 8:30-9:00pm*

FACILITY RENTALS – 2023-24 SEASON
The Riverside Ice Arena is located within Doty Park in downtown Belvidere at 365 W. Locust Street. Currently, we have one NHL regulation ice rink and a warming house where skates can be rented and concessions can be purchased. Reservations can be made at the Rivers Edge Recreation Center located at 1151 W. Locust Street in Belvidere. Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. Reservations will begin in December, 2023 and run through March, 2024 (depending on the weather). BOBBY RENTALS
While visiting the Riverside Ice Arena don’t forget you can rent our skate aid Bobby the Seal. These are great for people of all ages to help steady themselves as they enjoy recreational skating. Not only are you able to push your child around the rink to help you skate, but if your child gets tired while skating, they have the ability to sit and be pushed.
Bobby Rental: $3 with an ID
