Lil’ Swingers (AGES 3 – 4)
Join us in introducing your child to the great sport of baseball. This program has an emphasis on socialization and group involvement. Players will be introduced to the basics of the game, throwing, catching, batting and rules. Players will hit off a tee to ensure success. Incrediballs will be used to ensure safety. A baseball glove and closed toed shoes are required. Players will receive a t-shirt. Wednesday will be used for rain dates! Volunteer Coaches are needed! Youth T-BALL League (AGES 5 – 6)
Players will learn to throw, catch, hit, field, run bases, and most
importantly learn how to play with teammates. Basic rules of the game will also be taught. In addition to batting off a tee, the coach will pitch to the participants using a slow overhand/underhand style. Emphasis is on fun and learning. A baseball glove and closed toed shoes are required. BANTAM BASEBALL – Youth Baseball League (AGES 7 – 9)
Going, Going, Gone! Home Run! This league emphasizes fun, participation, and learning how to play the game of baseball. Every child will bat and play a variety of positions in the field. Teams will practice once a week and have games on Saturday mornings at Prairie Fields Sports Park. The Park District will select teams. Volunteer coaches are needed for this program! Each participant will receive a t-shirt and a baseball hat. A baseball glove and closed-toed shoes are required and Incrediballs will be used to ensure safety. Rainouts will be made up on Wednesdays.
