We are proud to partner with J&J Dance offers a wide range of youth dance classes to fit every age, interest, and skill level. all classes take place at Rivers Edge Recreation Center.

Creative Movement
This class serves as an introduction to dance where preliminary ballet and tap skills are taught. Our youngest athletes will learn how to follow directions, stand patiently in line and work on counting, shape identification, and balance. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a recital hosted by J&J! Additional $70 costume fee (billed directly by J&J Dance). Shoe Requirements: Each dancer will need BLACK patent leather tap shoes and PINK ballet shoes. Min/Max: 4/20 • Register by Sep. 25
Ballet/Tap combination
Our ballet/tap classes are offered separately for athletes ages 3.5-5 and 6-9. Instructors work to expand students’ current dance knowledge. They will continue to work on following directions, standing patiently in line and working on counting, shape identification and balance. Flexibility is a key skill worked on. Athletes in this class also have the opportunity to participate in a recital hosted by J&J! Additional $80 costume fee (billed directly by J&J Dance). Jazz/Hip-Hop combination
In this class, dancers implement basic jazz techniques and learn floor skills to create awesome routines. Body awareness, partner work, balance and flexibility are also main focuses. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a recital hosted by J&J! Additional $80 costume fee (billed directly by J&J Dance). Shoe Requirements: Each dancer will need BLACK slip-on Jazz shoes. Min/Max: 4/20 • Register by Sep. 25
Lyrical/Tap Combination
Through ballet and lyrical styles, students have a higher focus on technique, artistry, story-telling and choreography. These dancers will keep expanding their technique, foundation, ballet, flexibility and overall awareness of how their body moves. When focusing on tap, students will work on advanced sounds, counting, rhythm and choreography. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a recital hosted by J&J! Additional $105 costume fee (billed directly by J&J Dance). Shoe Requirements: Each dancer will need BLACK tie tap shoes, and for lyrical, we dance barefoot. Min/Max: 4/20 • Register by: Sep. 25
