Join Hamblock Ford on Wednesday, July 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Boone County Museum of History, 314 S. State Street, Belvidere, for our Drive for Your Community event. For every completed test drive, Ford will donate $30 to the Belvidere Park District Pirates Special Olympics Team, helping provide funding for athlete participation, training, competitions, equipment, and more.

LEGAL NOTICE
The Belvidere Park District Board of Commissioners has announced a vacancy on the Board of Commissioners as of May 12, 2026, for a seat originally scheduled for re-election in April 2029. The individual appointed to fill the vacancy will serve until the Board meeting following the April 2027 Consolidated Election, anticipated to be held in May 2027.
Interested individuals who meet the qualifications established under Illinois law may submit a letter of intent and current resume no later than June 25, 2026.
Submission materials may be delivered in person or by mail to the Belvidere Park District Administration Office, 1006 W. Lincoln Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by email to jjacky@belviderepark.org with the subject line “Board Vacancy.”
The Board will review applicants and conduct interviews after the submission deadline in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act.

This is a fun-filled, single-day, double-elimination tournament for all level players! Two players allowed per team and you will sign up and compete with that team! Sourdough for Beginners
Come learn the basic steps to the sourdough method! We’ll guide you through feeding and caring for your starter, mixing a simple loaf, understanding rising times, cold fermentation, and baking temperatures and times. We’ll also explain what makes sourdough seem complicated and show you how to simplify the process. You’ll take home a jar of active starter dating back 21 years, recipes, and tips. 5:30pm – Parade kick-off begins at the former Pacemaker parking lot, Belvidere. The parade continues north on Pearl St.
5:50pm – Welcome Pirates Athletes to the Community Building for their Annual Athlete Banquet.
Winter Slam Pickleball Tournament
